October 24th, Stranahan House Wine & Cheese Reception & Haunted House Tour, 6-10pm

***Carol Metevier is Events Committee Team Host. Wine & Cheese Reception @ 6pm. 2 Tours of 20 people run @ 7:30 & 8:30. The first 20 people signed up can attend the earlier tour. Cost is $30.00 per person, w/ 40 person total limit. Payment along with RSVP is required & event must be prepaid online via WEC website or payment to Rose Gershon-Schneider or Karen Rowe. Sign necessary up by October 1st. Payment must be received by Oct. 15th to attend. The Stranahan House is holding the event evening open for us, so we have to let them know if we won’t need the 2nd tour. At the Sept. meeting 32 people w/ guests signed up. Tours hold 20-25 people.
The Stranahan House will present their Ghost Tours. Docents dressed in Victorian mourning clothes relay the old customs and superstitions from days gone by. The parlor will be staged with a Victorian funeral and the procedure for preparing for the home funeral will be explained. The history of Tombstones, from the very crude stones in the 1800′s to the beautiful art forms in the 1900′s will be presented.

We have 34 people coming. The Stranahan House is having the entire evening available exclusively for WEC members and their guests, due to our attendance numbers. We have room for up to 50 people. (20-25 per tour). If you want to come, you can pay Susan or Karen at the meeting on the 20th. If you miss the meeting and come to the event, you will need to bring monies to pay the Stranahan House directly. The event is $30 dollars. Hi from Susan again. So that the neat gal Marlene from the Stranahan House shops for enough refreshments, (wine, crackers and cheese), it is best if we know before the 24th if you are coming, so that there are ample refreshments for everyone. They have our event starting at 6pm and running thru the 2nd tour that starts at 8:30. Your cooperation is appreciated.
