WEC Book Club: Monday, November 16
This month’s featured WEC Book Club selection is “Death Comes for the Archbishop” by Willa Cather. We’ll be talking about this book and sharing a potluck supper on November 16 at 6:30 at Deb McLaughlin’s new abode. Any WEC member is welcome to join us. This book is really terrific – great writing, interesting characters, and super scenery. You still have time to read it – a few hours to be immersed in the Southwest (New Mexico and Arizona) in the 1800′s with lots of different cultures, adventurous French priests – and even Kit Carson. Yummy southwest food and plenty of wine – and check out my Indian pottery from the pueblos mentioned in the book. I’m in Hollywood, 1446 Jackson – call or email for directions.
