AND THE WINNER IS . . . JAN BULLARD

Ladies, since the Book Club was at my home, I concentrated on being the consummate hostess. I did not take many photos. Yet, I could not refrain from grabbing my camera when our talented and can do everything VP Membership and incoming President, JAN BULLARD, arrived at my home carrying in hand what we all found out were to become the most delicious brownies that any of us had ever consumed. And, consume we did, eating right out of the pan, first choice for supper.

Also in hand after the brownies, our lady Jan came with . . . 8 blue First Place ribbons that she won as a member of Florida Federation of Garden Club. These awards were received for her outstanding array of orchids and other plants from her collection. These arrangements of her flora were displayed at Birch State Park. This event was open to the public for two days, April 17 through April 18, 2010. After I put the ribbons out on the dining table, I asked Jan to take a picture with her holding the 8 ribbons so that we/she would have a memento of this dazzling achievement.

Jan Bullard’s talents are blended together in many areas of her life. We know that she is a wonderful hostess, adores growing her plants and flowers, gives to our community, from feeding the homeless to taking care of the animals on our planet. You might see her recover a little bird that has fallen out of a tree and broken its wing. She runs quickly with bird in hand to the nearest veterinarian.

Jan comes into every room with a smile on her face. With this pleasing mettle, we note that on April 26, 2010, as a Board Member and representing the Sunrise Chamber of Commerce, along with Piper High School, we acknowledge once more, the magic that Jan Bullard creates everywhere that she lands.

She won the School – Based Partnership of the Year.
