"Up with People" will perform at Piper High School (8000 NW 44th Street) on Saturday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m. Their two-hour show – A Song for the World – is a multicultural mix of music, dance and goodwill.
"Up with People" is more than an entertainment troupe – it’s a six-month exchange program that takes 100 students age 17-29, representing 20 countries, on a tour around the world. They stay with host families in the communities they visit, and participate in hands-on service projects.
Local host families are needed from February 26th through March 7th. Hosts are asked to provide a bed, local transportation at the beginning and end of each day, and breakfast and most dinners. During the day, "Up with People" cast members engage in show preparation and community involvement. In the evenings, they will be with their hosts, participating in the family’s activities. Each host family will receive two free tickets to A Song for the World. For more information on this rewarding, one-of-a-kind experience, call (303) 803-0337.
Tickets to the March 5th show are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and $45 for a family four-pack. Purchase yours in advance by visiting
