MESSAGE FROM INCOMING PRESIDENT

WEC profile 1

Hi to All of our Wonderful WEC women!

Our members have been actively enjoying summer’s celebrations of weddings, graduations, fireworks and travel. So much to do and so little time. It’s hard to believe that our first lunch of the year will is just around the corner on Tuesday, August 16th. Make sure to mark your calendars.

In spite of our break, our members have continued to meet with the recent book club held at Sharyn Brunk’s condo. Laurina has also arranged a lovely gathering at the Catalina Restaurant on August 27th for a little July cool down and social. Many other women have stepped forward in their new roles. Judith Kolva, Donna Goldstein and the speaker’s committee have been hard at work with some very dynamic presenters for our meetings. Myriam Cohen has stepped forward and is now our newsletter coordinator. Many thanks to you, Myriam… you are off to a terrific start. A host of others have behind the scenes working to make this year a great year for all of us. Also a special thanks to Diana Fairbanks and Liz Mendel. Diana continues to coordinate the reservations for our luncheons and is preparing our menus for the year ahead. Liz Mendel had a lunch with all of her GEM hostesses at the Global Grille to harvest ideas for this year’s GEMs. These lunches have resulted in the growth of numerous friendships and business relationships so please make sure to attend.

So get ready and get set for a great year ahead. Enjoy your summer and see you in August…

Wishing you all the best,

Karen

GEMS: “GREET, EAT, MEET”

allied2-31

Formed in November 2002, members of WEC who choose to get together for an informal meeting are selected at random in small groups to greet, eat and meet. A Lead person is selected to set a time and place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other on a more personal level. If you would like to be a part of GEMs, please contact Liz Mendel, GEM Coordinator at dolphintravelinc@aol.com or at her office, Dolphin Travel Inc., 954-351-2002.
