Life is too complicated. New one stop for finding WEC Events

In the works is an Events page for all of the WEC activities such as Events, Book Club, Cannon Circles, Workshops, After Hours, etc.

There is a tab at the top of the webpage named Upcoming-Events. When blog postings are added to the page, the Event will be in bold text and underlined, so you can click the named event and see the post.

Easy as 1… 2… 3…. :)

This will not affect the webpage or calendar. It is an addition to what is already offered for you. Thanks to Chris Guld, our webmaster, www.geeksontour.com, for her prompt assistance in helping yours truly.

Another step to show your sisterhood in WEC is appreciated. xoxoxoxoxo

WEC Linked in group page is getting great results

weclogolr

Hi Ladies,

It is your mad hatter, energizer bunny junior, blog posting fool at it again…… :)

I wanted to make you aware how much fun we seem to be having in our private Linked In group page. I am sent emails with comments, so am aware you gals are liking it and am getting more requests to join daily.

You need to have a Linked In profile to join. It is free and easy. You don’t have to fill out a complete profile to join. Just join and then worry about it later. When you are a member in Linked In, search for our club name proper, all spelled out, “Womens Exectuve Club of Fort Lauderdale”. I will see a request when I log in and accept your request. If you are having trouble, email me and I can invite you to join. You must be a member to access the site. EASY EASY EASY to do. We can help you if you need assistance.

We are getting outsiders wanting to join. I am telling them to come to a meeting and join our group, so I can happily accept them…… So far as of today, August 17th, we have 32 members signed into our group. Please spread the word to other members that this group site is up and running. It is a great place to chat privately with members for synergy and sharing. :)

Just another way for us to improve our daily communication with one another. Thanks  for taking the time to read this post. I look forward to your request to join, WEC ladies. :)

Events Committee revving up some fun for you

On August 2nd, some team members of the Events Committee met to discuss and delegate fun tasks and details for the 2010-2011 year. In attendance were;

Angela Colley clip_image002Santos-Rosana metevier-carol _0011 thumbnailcp

Angela Colley, Lisa Kaufman, Rosana Santos-Calambichis, Carol Metevier and yours truly, Susan Kingsley.

You asked for it and we are going to provide the opportunities for WEC sisterhood experiences.

We will have October, December, February and April events, along with some occasional wine tastings- after hours, possible workshops and  a fund raiser.

As I am always trying to simplify and streamline things for everyone. In the works with Chris Guld, is an new tab or link, for Events area of the Website, that members can click on to see events. This will be in addition to the calendar that is in place. Rather than having to scour the entire site to find the upcoming events, there will be an easy area to look. The events for the year will be published in advance, with actual date of event and pay pal information being added as time progresses, so interested parties can sign up before the events are filled. This events area will be posted sometime after the August meeting.

Thanks for your participation in the events. It is always great to see you again. :)
