RAISE FUNDS FOR HAITI WITH MARGARETHE SORENSEN

WEC profile 1

I just want to let the WEC Ladies know that the Red Cross of Broward is having a Fundraiser on the evening of Feb 26th.  It is Cocktails and a Fashion Show featuring a fabulous Couture Designer, Victoria Lopez Castro, whom I have known for a good twelve or so years.  It will be held at the new Westin Beach Resort on A1A in Fort Lauderdale. As you know, the Red Cross has been contributing significantly to the rescue effort for Haiti.  The hope is that this evening will go along way toward replenishing their reserves. For more information, email Margarethe at MPSorensen@aol.com.

7th Annual PACE "Believing in Girls" Society Luncheon, CHAIRED BY WEC

Special Thanks from PACE; excerpt from the PACE Broward January eNewsletter:

On Friday, December 4 at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port Hotel PACE Broward hosted its 7th annual Believing in Girls Society luncheon.

The theme of this year’s luncheon was "Embracing Growth and Change."  Our keynote speakers Samantha and Taylor, current PACE Broward program participants, gracefully spoke about how they have grown from their past experiences and how PACE has helped them change to have lives with hope and promise.

This year’s luncheon raised $80,000 in donations, sponsorships and memberships in PACE’s multi-year "Believing In Girls" Society.  "The success of this event belongs to our Table Hosts who invited over 300 guests to join them at the luncheon," said Richard Zaden, Esq., PACE Broward President.  "As PACE ambassadors, they do an outstanding job helping us convey our mission throughout Broward County."

PACE Broward welcomes Sheila Bechert, Thomas T. Coon, Jr., Esq., Fred and Stephen Goldstein in honor of their mother Silvia K. Goldstein, and Judith Stern as new "Believing In Girls" Society members, who pledged their sustainable support over 5 years.

Proceeds from this event will provide for the underfunded counseling and academic services at PACE Broward and the special needs of the girls such as lunches, school supplies and uniforms.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THE 2009 LUNCHEON POSSIBLE!

Diana Fairbanks takes her real estate know-how to the next level

WEC profile 1

On January 25th, 26th and 27th, Diana Fairbanks attended an educational seminar in San Diego, CA with over 2,000 of the most successful agents in North America presented by the Mike Ferry Organization. They learned even more techniques on how to get homes sold … how to purchase a home in this market … and various presentation skills that Diana will be able to use to assist her clients in their Real Estate transactions. This will be Diana’s third year attending and it is always a powerful event.
