The Stranahan House is holding the event evening open for us, so we have to let them know if we won’t need the 2nd tour. At the Sept. meeting 32 people w/ guests signed up. Tours hold 20-25 people.
The Stranahan House will present their Ghost Tours. Docents dressed in Victorian mourning clothes relay the old customs and superstitions from days gone by. The parlor will be staged with a Victorian funeral and the procedure for preparing for the home funeral will be explained. The history of Tombstones, from the very crude stones in the 1800′s to the beautiful art forms in the 1900′s will be presented.
