Hi Everyone!  I’m enjoying winter in North Carolina still.  It snowed almost 10 hours on Christmas Day.  Here’s a photo or two!  I expect to be back by mid-January.  See you soon,

I’m still up here in the mountains, a little north of Winston-Salem, NC, and enjoying life with Donovan.  I won’t be back for the catamaran cruise, Book Club or the other festive activities, but expect to be there by Christmas.  You can still reach me at my email address.  It’s cold, but the house is cozy.  Happy Christmas, Everyone!

I am grateful for Jan Herard’s awesome assistance to sell my home.  Her suggestions and frequent feedback have been hugely helpful in preparing the house to look and show its best. Thank you, Jan!

Our Blogging Class

On Saturday morning at Chadia’s business meeting room, we had 9 WEC members who came to learn how to Blog.  Chris Guld, and her husband Jim were there to teach the class.  Lenore Alpert and Lyn Sheft created brand new blogs during the class.  Emily Rushin, Joyce Shore, Chadia Meroueh and Jenette Mathai learned a little more about their existing blogs.  Lynda Amorello, Carol Metevier and Liz Mendel got ideas!

Chris enjoyed having the opportunity to teach this class because it is one of her ‘Geeks on Tour’ new offerings.  You can download a copy of the class handout if you’re interested in learning about blogging with WordPress.

WEC Book Club: Monday, October 12

This month’s featured WEC Book Club selection is “The Horse Boy” by Rupert Isaacson.  A Barnes and Noble brief review begins:  “In this intense, polished account, the Austin, Tex., parents of an autistic boy trek to the Mongolian steppes to consult shamans in a last-ditch effort to alter his unraveling behavior.”  The Book Club will meet at 6:30 on Monday, October 12 at Kerrie Krutchik’s home.  Please call her if you will attend and bring a dish to share for our potluck supper.  You may contact Emily Rushin at wisemily@bellsouth.net with any questions.
