Appreciation from PACE and Kathleen Ryan!

Dear WECers:

During the holiday vacation the girls at PACE had the opportunity to do some shopping and journaling, thanks to your contribution of 49 gift cards, $90 in cash, 140 beautiful journals, 200 colorful pens and a host of other gifts that girls love. Your generous response to PACE’s wish list helped fill 75 gift bags each with TWO $10 gift certificates, a journal and pen, a fleece jacket and other items.  Thank you for adding the girls at PACE to your holiday shopping list.

You all have made 2009 a good year for PACE Broward.  As WEC members you have partnered with PACE to provide girls at-risk with the “tools” they will need to be successful in their future careers. Throughout the year you have welcomed PACE girls to the monthly luncheons, donated supplies for the girls’ Incentive and School Supplies cabinets, volunteered at the Center, supported PACE Broward events, funded two semesters at Broward College for PACE graduate Rachel Tinkey through WEC’s Virginia Young Scholarship Fund and purchased a two year scholarship at Broward College in the name of Ronnie Karlin for a 2010 PACE graduate.  The girls at PACE are lucky to have you as their “big sisters.”

Happy New Year!   Kathleen Ryan

Otherwise, I need to hear from you. :) (RSVP to susan@susankingsley.biz with the number of people who are coming in your party).

A note from Connie about the event; Hope you can come to this event – really FABULOUS hors d oveurs made by Chef Lenore Nolan Ryan and wine.
